Ensuring your multi-site AX project meets your expectations!
AxPact has delivered and supports over 10% of the global installed base of Microsoft Dynamics AX. That’s over 1000 projects in the last decade!
In that time we have learned a thing or two about how to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX to ensure our members and their customers implement AX and achieve their goals as efficiently as possible.
We have used our experience to form an international project delivery team, IMpact.
IMpact is able to work with your own project team to ensure that Microsoft Dynamics AX is implemented on time, on budget, first time around. IMpact offers the following services:
- Programme Management and Control
- Project Delivery Services
- System Support
Guardian – Our International Methodology
IMpact has worked with our members and Microsoft to develop our own international delivery methodology, Guardian, based upon Microsoft’s own methodology for Dynamics ERP projects “Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step”.
AxPact have participated in the development of Microsoft Sure Step as a TAP member (Technology Adoption Partner) since its inception and we hold our annual IMpact Conference with Microsoft to develop and share ideas around international project delivery and best practice.
IMpact 2010 was held in Vienna and brought together the top delivery people from AxPact’s members to meet with the Microsoft SureStep team.

International AX projects – The Key Challenges!
Implementing a multi-national, multi-site AX project presents additional challenges beyond a “local” ERP project. These challenges include:
- Language barriers (inside and outside the application)
- Cultural challenges
- Normal consulting practice differs
- Roles by department vary
- Business processes can be quite different
- Organisational Change Management
- Variations of compliance and legislation
- More: Users, Companies, Lines of Business
- Varying legal frameworks to contract within
- Project teams find it more difficult to meet
frequently
- Increased resistance to change in the end users
- One or more extra communication layers to manage
- Multiple project teams
